THE ANTIQUE BOAT SHOP

I had the distinct pleasure to spend some time with Jeff and company at The Antique Boat Shop, a highly sought after repair and restoration facility here in Fort Wayne.  I wanted to learn more about wood boats and this was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. I spent a few days working with these fine folks and I learned a lot. I hope to be able to do this again in the near future.

SWEET BREEZE

Most of my work is done outside of Fort Wayne with a lot of it focused in Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio. The Condition and Value Survey on the Sweet Breeze, a canal boat replica that provides river tours here in Fort Wayne, was a unique opportunity to test my skills in my own backyard. The Sweet Breeze is an immaculate vessel that is in tip top shape. She has a single diesel engine and a bow thruster which keeps her fairly maneuverable despite her size. This report took a LOT of research on my end to be able to assess her value. I really enjoyed working with the Friends of the River on this project.

COLLABORATIONS

I oftentimes get the opportunity to assist other surveyors with surveys. Some of these are on vessels that I haven't been on before that will help me grow professionally, and some of them are simply extensive surveys where a surveyor would like to have another set of hands to help facilitate the survey's completion. No matter the reason, I always make the time and show up. These surveys were all collaborations and I'm always grateful for the experience.

2002 CRUISERS YACHTS 5000 EXPRESS

I had the wonderful experience of completing a Pre-purchase survey on this 2002 Cruisers Yachts 5000 Express. It is always a pleasure doing these bigger surveys because it really challenges you as a surveyor. You have to complete a lot of research before the survey, you have to be incredibly organized during the survey, and the reports are always a challenge to get done in a timely manner, especially during the busy season. But if there is one thing I pride myself on, it is my ability to get the reports of survey into the hands of my clients as soon as possible!
